How to Choose Metal Lockers

Very often I hear people say that a locker is a locker, and that there is no big distinctions between different products.

I think this is really far from true. In fact there are some details that make difference between metal lockers and, more broadly, metal furnishing.

In this article I try to list some details you should pay attention to.

1) Kind of metal. Of course there is big differences between ordinary steel (varnished) and stainless steel. Obviously stainless steel lockers are better because they guarrantee more cleanliness and offer a longer life (Stainless steel does not stain, corrode or rust as easily as ordinary steel), but they are more expensive. If you have to put lockers in a humid place, stainless steel is a good choice.

2) Painting. Because the life of your lockers could be very shorter due to a bad paint work, this is really an important detail. It's important that lockers are painted with epoxy powder, and so pay attention to this particular. (usually stainless steel furniture are Umkleidespinde mit Sitzbank not varnished).

3) Ventilation holes. It's important that lockers have a good inner ventilation since they have to contain clothes. Inner ventilation, of course, depends on holes and so pay attention to this detail.

Ususally you need to close your lockers and so ensure that a closing system is gived. Very often if you choose cylindrical lock you can also have a pass-key.
